THIS IS A GORGEOUS OLD VINTAGE LETTER BOX AND LETTER OPENER WITH A CHINTZ LIKE PATTERN OF PINK ROSES AND FLOWERS. I have had this set for many years, and never seen another anything like it. Both pieces are made out of wood. The letter box has a metal handle with a lid that opens up. The lid and the letter opener are both covered with a gorgeous print with a chintz like patter. There are pink rose, with petite flowers in white and blue. There is paper loss with chippy paint, minor dirt and wear, as I show. Measurements are about 9 1/2" by 1 1/2" for the letter opener.
