THIS IS A LARGE OLD VINTAGE WHITE PORCELAIN OR IRONSTONE COVERED CASSEROLE DISH OR TUREEN WITH LID. Ironstone and white porcelain pottery is so collectible right now and looks awesome in any decor. This is an older good quality tureen with lid by Staffordshire. The bottom is stamped with the prestigious name of J. Edwards, President Shape. This is two pieces, the bottom and the lid that is so pretty. It has the molded leaf design on the lid and under the fancy handles. There are some minor stains, marks, surface crazing, and wear. By the handle under the lid is a stain, that could be from an old hairline scratch, that you can't feel. Measurements are about 11" by 7 1/2" and 6" tall with the lid. It weighs about 2 1/2 pounds.
