THIS IS JUST INCREDIBLE. IT IS AN OLD FRENCH CAST IRON METAL PLATE OR SALVAGED ARCHITECTURAL FRAGMENT DECOR PIECE WITH FIVE CHERUBS. This is an older cast iron piece of good quality that is heavy for its size from France. It is a round piece, that hase 5 precious cherubs with musical instruments and a song book. On the back, you can see at the center, it was cut from something, so I am not sure what this originally came off of. It has a fabulous old time worn patina with color variation, marks and scratches with an awesome patina. There is a hole at the top to hang it. It is not perfectly flat and a little uneven. Great in any shabby chic, romantic cottage, Victorian or French country home. Measurements are about 9" wide. It weighs about 2 1/2 pounds.
