THIS IS AN EXQUISITE OLD VINTAGE FRENCH ORMOLU VANITY JEWELRY CASKET STAND THAT IS FOOTED. This is an older piece of good quality. The box is footed with four little feet. One of the back feet is bent, and you can probably bend it back in shape, but I didn't want to try it. Because the back legs have the little wire at the ends of the feet, the casket or jewelry box leans forward. The glass is clear, beveled and thick. The latch opens the lid to the tin bottom. There are two holders on the sides, which was probably for perfume. At the top is a little beveled oval. There is a little chip at the back of the mirror as I show. There is a little streaking, ghosting and scratches, for a desirable look. At the top is an ornate design with roses. There was little leaves along the oval holder for the mirror Perfect in your shabby chic, French country or romantic cottage decor. Measurements are about 10 1/2" tall by 5 1/4" wide and 3" deep.
